Young Horse Championship

Yes entries are still open for this class.  When doing online entry click on the Thursday/Friday section to add this class to your entries.  This is a great chance to get your young horse in the main grass arena.

The Young Horse Championship in a Handicap class.  It is run as a TAM5.  Each age group will jump at their respective height. 

At the end of each age group a jump off will take place against the clock.  After all rounds have been completed the top six across all the age groups will be found. 

5 year old 1m

6 year old 1.10m

7 year old 1.20m

Pryde's EasiFeed Style Prize

A style prize sash will be presented to the winner in each age group along with Pryde's Feed.  This will not affect the placings in the class which will be found using the standard TAM5 rules. 

The young horse hind boot rule will apply.

7.3.2. All hind leg protections must have a maximum interior length of 16 centimetres, the width of the fastener must be at least five centimetres.

7.3.3. The inside of the protection must be smooth. Only non-elastic Velcro-type fasteners are permitted, no hooks, buckles, clips or other methods of attaching the fasteners may be used;

 7.3.4. The rounded rigid part of the protection must be placed around the inside of the fetlock;

7.3.5. No additional elements may be used in conjunction with the protection.

7.3.6. Hind boots that have an extra flap for protection should be allowed providing the flap is soft and is clearly intended for protection only.

7.3.7. Sheepskin linings are allowed.
