Auckland Insulation Winter Series This Sunday

Coming On Sunday Read on...

We have a big day with just under 200 horses to get through.  We will require your assistance to ensure we do not run out of daylight.  Classes are run in strict draw order so please be organized and arrive in plenty of time.

Entries for ring one and two are now closed.  We are happy to take late entries into ring three with no late fees.

START TIME CHANGES
Ring One 8.15 am
Ring Two 8.15 am
Ring Three 9am
Classes will run on without any breaks.

You can find an VERY approximate time table on Equestrian Entries, THIS  DOES NOT ALLOW FOR SCRATCHING’S so please allow extra time.  Last time we had a 20% scratch rate on the day,  this meant classes ran well ahead of schedule.   However please DO NOT arrive at 9am if your class is later in the day as parking will be very tight.  Space will free up as those in the earlier classes finish and leave.

If you plan on scratching please let us know asap as we have a waiting list operating.

Class changes - please get these to as soon as possible, we would prefer these are done though equestrian entries, if you are unable to do so please email sjwaitemata@gmail.com

PARKING WILL BE TIGHT as we are at full capacity
Please all cars not attached to a float are to be parked outside the main gate or on the grass area by the toilet.  Trucks and floats please park AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE and the same angle so we can fit you all in.  If you do not do this you will be asked to move.
Please obey our parking instructions.

Extra Information

Ring Layout

Ring Layout (we have changed this from previous days)

Ring one will be in front of the Kiosk (The Island arena).  Ring two (ponies) will be to the back of the property closest to the water jump – warm up for this arena will be accessed as per the map – not the usual way.  Ring three is the arena closest to the car park.  Map attached.

Tidy casual dress, platting and jackets are not required.

Course Building
we would really appreciate any assistance to build our three courses from 1pm on Saturday.  Great chance to learn the course and put something back into the sport.

YARDS
Covered and uncovered are available for use but need to be pre booked and allocated.  Please do not just help yourself.  Covered $25, Uncovered $10. Email sjwaitemata.co.nz to book a yard.

At our winter training days, we have one course for the entire day.  You will be welcome to walk your course before 8.15 AM in ring one and two and 9am in ring three or in between classes while the jump heights are being adjusted.  While a class is underway you cannot walk the course, however if you see a rail fall we really appreciate your assistance to put the jump back up so don't be afraid to help out.  We also love assistance to put the jumps up in between rounds.  On Sunday we will need to pack the jumps in ring three up at the end of the days competition so please help us out if you can.

In ring one classes are scheduled to run as A2 competitions.  This means the class will be one round against the clock, with the winner being the fasted round with the least number of faults.

Rings two and three are two phase competitions.  With the exception the crossbar class in ring two (this is run as an A1 where all clear rounds are first equal).
A two-phase class is just as it says first round and jump-off combined.  If you jump clear in the first phase continue on and do the jump off phase.  The judges will ring the bell if you have occurred faults in the first phase signalling for you to stop and leave the arena.

To help us get through the day quickly we will require two horses in the ring at all times.  One horse competing and the other waiting out of the way, ready to start when the horse before them as completed its round.

So we can keep everyone safe this weekend please ensure you have read our housekeeping rules.

Please shut the gate behind you - we boundary a busy state highway, and horses getting out onto the road would be catastrophic.

NO TYING TO FENCES! - please tie to your truck/float or leave your horse in its allocated yard if you have booked one.

Do not ride and lead another horse.

Absolutely no horses are to use the track between the kiosk/office and grass arena.  This is a vehicle only access area.

This is your equestrian venue so please take the time to look after it.  All manure, hay and rubbish MUST be removed from both parking area and yards.  Please prompt your neighbour to do this too so we can spread the word and keep our equestrian centre looking great!
