Big Prizes Won in Inaugural Breeders Championship

 

It was Christmas all over again for the winners and place-getters in the inaugural Waitemata Breeders Championship Final who as part of their prizes got to select services from some super stallions. The class was won by Elle Phillips and Canto II who chose Chacco Silver – the only New Zealand based son of double world number one sire Chacco Blue – which was donated by Mary-Elizabeth Willis from Matawhio Sport Horses.

Second placed Charlotte Wear aboard Double Shot NZPH chose the service to Vivant who has competed at the Olympic Games, placed eighth at the 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games in Caen and seventh at the FEI World Cup CSI-W Final in 2010. The Vivant service was donated by Helen Chugg. It was an excellent class for Charlotte whose horse won the prize for the best place mare, winning a service to Voltaire II (dec) which was donated by Fred Cornege. Keeva McCambridge and Hey There Delilah HH and chose a service from the German bred Holsteiner Corofino II which was donated by Xtreme Sport Horses. Sharon Klijn and Kairo Ngapara were fourth and chose a service to Jasmine Sketchley’s World Cup horse Bravado Ego Z. Fifth were Bryony Smith and Ngahiwi Indigo who chose Kate Hewlett’s Capatino GNZ as her prize. Maddison Greatorex and Daisy Duke NZPH filled sixth place and chose a service to Voltaire II (dec), which was donated by Fred Cornege. Samantha Maguire and Starlight Daytona took out seventh place and chose a service to Cartello GNZ, which was donated by Georgia Lawrie. Emelia Forsyth (Clevedon) and Catapult Xtreme, winning a service to Ngahiwi One Eye, curtesy of Bruce Holden from Ngahiwi Horses.

Sam Peters and Caesar NZPH were ninth and chose as their prize a service to Susie Hayward’s Andretti with Elmo Jackson and Miss Clementine rounding out the top 10 with their prize coming from Vicki Wilson’s Captivate VWNZ.
