Katherine Macdonald from Warkworth was the very proud winner of the sought-after Auckland Insulation dress rug and Challis Trophy riding her 13 year old Mighty Heights gelding Livanto BHS, ticking off her goal of winning a rug. 

Katherine grew up riding at Pony Club aon cheeky ponies.   Katherine returned to riding as an adult and has recently partnered with her lovely horse Livanto BHS bred by Karen Teague.  Katherine is looking forward to getting out this season to a few more show jumping shows and horse trials.  The winter series has been a great confidence booster for Katherine who would like to continue to step up in heights.

It was Katherines first attempt at the winter series and she was full of praise.  Her daughter also gave the x-bar events a go and made some new friends in the process. “The event ran seamlessly and on time which is very rare - so kudos to the organisers. Our judge was always encouraging and positive which really helped to create a supportive and positive atmosphere.”
